“The intention of this Philadelphia and NYC-based* group is to serve as a space where Black, Queer and Trans parenthood and all of its forms can be brought to and kept at the forefront, honored, uplifted and celebrated.
Those attending the majority of sessions would be compensated with a stipend for their commitment to their individual and collective healing.
*Virtual + in-person group beginning Spring 2024. Although there will be priority given to Philadelphia and NYC residents, limited out of state slots available upon request.”

TransFamilies
Transfamilies is a nonprofit that has been supporting transgender youth and their families since 2008.
Supporting transgender youth and their families since 2008.
TransFamilies has been helping families with transgender and gender-diverse kids for more than a decade. Their goal is to support families in supporting their kids through inviting families to attend their groups and get connected with other families. They offer more than a dozen online groups, plus forums, workshops, special topic groups, and more.
Health Outreach to Teens (HOTT)
Providing medical and mental healthcare to LGBTQ adolescents and young adults ages 13-24 free of charge and low-cost.

All of HOTT’s services are provided free of charge or at low cost (insurance is also accepted). HOTT will register young people 21 years old and younger for healthcare services, and provide ongoing care up to their 24th birthday. After their 24th birthday, they will be transitioned into adult care.

HEAT has a full-force Clinic that provides comprehensive medical care, case management, HIV counseling and testing (C/T), mental health care, treatment adherence, outreach, support services, transgender healthcare, and access to research for youth ages 13-29.

Many of these bills aim to restrict access to medical care and limit children and adolescents who identify as gender diverse from participation in sports.

All clothing on this site is absolutely free of charge — Change of Clothes, Inc. covers shipping too. They ask that all shoppers identify as transgender, gender fluid, or non-binary and be in need of clothing to affirm their gender identity. All packages will be shipped discretely.

Stand with Trans provides access to trans-affirming mental healthcare for transgender and non-binary youth 13-24 years old. Their Therapy Assistance Program currently includes young people living in California, Michigan, Utah and Wyoming. Apply here.

Jovenes is a Los Angeles-based youth (ages 18-24) homelessness organization that offers case management, housing options for unhoused youth and students. While they’re not an LGBTQ-specific organization, they proudly serve all youth in need.
Rainbow Health Free to Be program
Providing therapy and case management services to 14-24 year-olds who LGBTQ+ and/or BIPOC.

Free to Be offers mental health services for individuals ages 14-24 who are members of the LGBTQ+ and/or BIPOC community. You do not need to be living with HIV or have health insurance to access this program.
Free to Be’s case management is provided throughout Minnesota, and it can be in person, on the phone, and/or virtually as agreed upon by the case manager and person receiving services.

Saga provides resources and engagement programs dedicated to paving pathways towards developing professional and life skills, exploring career paths whether through attending college or vocational school, and exploring other ventures in life.

This is a virtual space intended for high school students 13-17 years-old to connect with each other through guided discussions. Topics can range from the LGBTQIA+ experience, friendships, dating, school life, social media, and more. Students from all around the Colorado area are welcome! They meet weekly every Tuesday from 4-7pm.

East Bay Community Law Center Youth Justice
Providing free legal advice and representation to youth with an emphasis on youth who are Black, Indigenous, or people of color.

The Education Defense and Justice for Youth program works to keep youth – particularly youth who are Black, Indigenous, or people of color – in school and out of the legal system. Their mission is to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline by challenging the marginalization and criminalization of youth in their schools and communities.
They will determine your eligibility for services once you’ve completed an intake assessment. In general, their services are available to youth in grades K-12 who live in or attend school in Alameda County.
East Bay Community Law Center also offers Social Work services. Their social workers provide trauma-informed case management, crisis intervention, and system navigation to clients as they work towards both their legal and non-legal goals. More information here.

Mazzoni Center provides sliding scale gender-affirming care to those without insurance or those whose insurance plans do not cover certain services. This page summarizes their gender-affirming care.
Mazzoni Center also advises and informs trans/GNC people on how to address a variety of name-related legal issues. In addition to securing identity documents and records consistent with your identity, they help people who are, or are planning to, transition in the workplace or at school.
